As Austin Texas grows we have no choice but to say goodbye to some landmarks whether pretty or ugly. Today we say goodbye to the Mobile Manor RV Park . As taxes increase and the value of the land becomes too high there did not seem to be a lot of options for the owners. Bad news….they are putting up an apartment complex. So where the once “keep it weird” central Austin RV park was located we will now see a multistory apartment building. One major concern I would have is the amount of traffic on an already over crowded road. Not withstanding the loss of the Austin iconic park. The developer also plans to open a restaurant on the land in the future as the apartment complex will be further back on the lot closer to the lake.
